Humble Beginnings…
JS Tax Service was founded in August 2006. Our doors opened on January 2, 2007, in Hickory, North Carolina, with the idea of providing professional tax and bookkeeping services at the highest levels of customer satisfaction. After two successful tax seasons, we opened a second location in Statesville, North Carolina, and a third in Hickory, North Carolina, in 2014.
Today, JS Tax Service has a new office close to downtown Hickory and provides various tax-based products and services to its clients, such as tax preparation, Form W-4 Advice, payroll, corporation business set-up, minor IRS Representation services, and financial resource consultation. JS Tax Service NC will do everything we can to meet your expectations. With various offerings to choose from, we're sure you'll be happy working with us. About Our Owner
Kendra Jones Simpkins acquired JS Tax Service NC from Jerome Simpkins. She continues to help her clients with the vision of dedication and excellency, which she cultivated as a bank teller for 14 years at Wells Fargo Bank and a graduate student from Western Carolina University. Go Cats!
Kendra has extensive knowledge in the financial and tax industries and is still learning. She started her career at First Union Bank before it became Wells Fargo Bank. During her years at the bank, Kendra worked in the office with her ex-husband to bring a warm and family atmosphere and her customer experience to JS Tax Service NC.
Later in 2014, Kendra started working at JS Tax Service in Hickory full-time. This is where she knew she belonged. Her desire to learn and help clients bloomed. She decided that this was what she wanted to do full-time. Ms. Simpkins had a desire and passion for growing within the financial and tax service industry and decided to run the tax preparation business along with other services in the future in addition to tax preparation. She is now the owner of Jones Financial Enterprises, LLC, where she is a Financial Resource Consultant and an Independent Solar Consultant. JS Tax Service NC and Jones Financial Enterprises, LLC are working together to give back to the community and help their clients save money while providing excellent products and services to their clients.
